Our Principal-Darik Williams

It is an honor to serve as the Principal of Greenwood Elementary School.  Greenwood is a place of learning with a strong history of academic excellence, and we strive to continue offering nothing short of the very BEST for our students and their families.

Our talented staff offers a comprehensive set of learning experiences for our students.  In addition to providing engaging and differentiated learning experiences in our grade-level classrooms, we offer a range of Specials courses, including art, music, physical education, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  Together, students are challenged to think both creatively and logically at Greenwood!

Along with offering rigorous academic programming that challenges each student to maximize her/his potential, we are committed to developing caring and respectful students who lead with both their heart and mind.  At Greenwood, our students and staff are guided by the acronym BEARS:  Be Responsible, Engage in Learning, Act Safely, Respect Yourself and Others, and Show a Positive Attitude.

Beyond the rich learning experiences Greenwood Elementary provides its students, the profound sense of community is the foundation upon which our entire school rests.  It is truly an active partnership between our students, parents, staff, and members of the greater community that makes Greenwood such a wonderful place to grow and thrive.  Acting with a common sense of purpose and responsibility, we are dedicated to providing our students with the necessary supports to excel in a dynamic and global society.

As the famed anthropologist Jane Goodall once remarked, "Every individual matters.  Every individual has a role to play.  Every individual makes a difference."  I look forward to partnering with YOU to provide our students with the exceptional education they deserve and to fulfilling the Cherry Creek School District's mission of inspiring every student to think, to learn, to achieve, to care.
